Description Spedifen 400 mg ibuprofen granules 12 sachets
The active ingredient in Spedifen 400 mg is ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent. These sachets are used for the short-term treatment of fever and/or aches and pains such as headaches, flu-like symptoms, toothache, aches and pains and painful periods.
This medicine is reserved for adults and children weighing over 30 kg (approx. 11-12 years).
Other ingredients : Saccharose, arginine, sodium bicarbonate, sodium saccharin, aspartam, mint flavoring and aniseed flavoring.

Dosage of Spedifen 400 mg sachet
The recommended dosage is one 400 mg sachet per dose, repeated if necessary after at least 6 hours, up to a maximum of 3 400 mg sachets per day (i.e. 1200 mg per day).
Sachets should be dissolved in a glass of water and taken with a meal.
It is recommended that you use the lowest dose and the shortest duration possible for symptomatic relief.
Treatment is limited to 3 days for fever, and 5 days for pain.
Precautions for use of Spedifen 400 mg sachet
Spedifen 400 is contraindicated in patients with kidney, heart or liver disorders, systemic lupus erythematosus, digestive ulcer, digestive or cerebral hemorrhage, history of allergic asthma, risk of bleeding, chronic malnutrition, dehydration, viral disease including chickenpox.
Spedifen 400 is not recommended during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Ask your doctor's advice before taking any medication.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medication to avoid interactions and overdose.
This medicine should not be taken in combination with ibuprofen, other NSAIDs, aspirin or its derivatives.
Certain drugs are contraindicated with ibuprofen, such as methotrexate, serotonin reuptake inhibitors, anticoagulants, platelet aggregation inhibitors, pemetrexed, corticoids, lithium, ciclosporin and tacrolimus.
Taking Spedifen may alter certain biological results, such as blood sugar or uric acid levels.
Ibuprofen can cause side effects such as diarrhea, stomach pain and skin rashes.
Taking ibuprofen may increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.
