Lomexin 2% is an antifungal cream indicated for the treatment or adjunctive treatment of certain skin or mucosal conditions (mycoses) caused by microscopic fungi (candidiasis, dermatophytosis, pityriasis versicolor).

Per 100 g of cream, there are 2 g of fenticonazole nitrate, equivalent to 1.757 g of fenticonazole base.

The other ingredients are: almond oil, polyglycolic esters of fatty acids (Xalifin 15), glycerol monostearate, sodium edetate (E385), and purified water.

Dosage of Lomexin 2% Antifungal Cream

The dosage should follow the doctor’s recommendations. The cream should be applied topically once daily, depending on the type of fungal infection.

For candidiasis infections, intimate hygiene should be maintained using a soap with an alkaline or neutral pH.

In addition, certain hygiene guidelines should be followed, such as wearing cotton underwear, avoiding tight-fitting clothing, and avoiding vaginal douches...

This antifungal treatment should not be interrupted during menstruation.

Contraindications for Lomexin Yeast Infection Cream

Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients (or have a cross-sensitivity to other members of the imidazole group).

If irritation occurs due to lanolin, cetyl alcohol, or propylene glycol, discontinue use. Additionally, avoid contact with the eyes.

The use of Lomexin cream is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist for medical advice.

Lomexin cream may be used in combination with Lomexin vaginal suppositories for vaginal yeast infections.
