When is MAXILASE prescribed?
This medicine contains an enzyme to combat swelling and inflammation.
It is used in the adjunctive treatment of acute inflammation of the throat.

The syrup contains a significant amount of sugar (sucrose).
Fertility, pregnancy and breastfeeding
The effect of this medicine during pregnancy or lactation is not well known. The assessment of the possible risk associated with its use is individual: ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice.
Instructions for use and dosage of MAXILASE
The tablets should be swallowed without being chewed, with a glass of water, during meals.
Usual dosage:

Adult: 1 tablet or 1 tablespoon of syrup, 3 times daily.

Child over 3 years (over 15 kg): 2 teaspoons of syrup, 3 times a day.

Children from 6 months to 3 years (from 7 to 15 kg): 1 teaspoon of syrup, 3 times a day.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days without medical advice.

Rarely: allergic reaction.
