The bottle is 125 ml and contains 96 per cent ethanol.

Other components are: 96 percent ethanol, polysorbate 80, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, monopotassium phosphate, sodium chloride, purified water.

Ascabiol dosages
First of all, the bottle must be shaken well before use.

During autumnal trombidiosis

it is advised to apply Ascabiol on the lesions with a cotton swab 1 or 2 times.

In case of scabies

D0 : Take a bath or a shower in the evening and dry yourself. The linen must be clean : clothes, towel after the shower and you must change your bed linen to avoid a new contamination.

Ascabiol must be applied with a compress in 2 successive layers at 10-15 minutes interval on the whole body insisting on the lesions, without forgetting the skin folds, the spaces between the fingers and the toes, under the breasts, the navel, the external genitals, under the nails, the scalp and by avoiding the face and the mucous membranes

A contact time of 24 hours must be respected, then you should not wash yourself (including your hands).

After 24 hours, wash yourself and rinse thoroughly to eliminate the product. A bath towel, clean clothes and bed sheets should be changed again.

D1: The environment is treated the next day. The following morning, the premises are cleaned in the usual way and in the case of severe scabies (profuse or hyperkeratotic), bedding, carpets and other furniture that may have been infested are disinfected with an acaricide.

It is also necessary to treat clothes and linen: you must gather the linen used until now and wash it in the washing machine at 60°C.

At the same time, disinfect the clothes and bed linen of all persons living in the same household, used for less than 72 hours in case of common scabies.

If the linen cannot be machine washed at this temperature, put it in a closed plastic bag at a temperature above 20°C for at least 3 days in case of common scabies and 8 days in case of severe scabies. It can also be disinfected with an acaricide, in which case it should be stored in a closed plastic bag with an acaricide product for at least 3 hours.

Do not forget to treat objects that may have been in contact with the body such as: blood pressure cuff, shoes, lint.

You must vacuum vigorously on carpets and cushions.

D8 : Start again the application of Ascabiol according to the same modalities as at D0.

Day 9: See Day 1 for linen and environment decontamination measures.

A prior medical consultation is advised in some particular cases : pregnant or breast-feeding women or babies in particular.

If you are pregnant, it is the same scheme as for the adult with the application of a single layer and a contact time of 24 hours at D0 and D8.

If the infection concerns children over 2 years old, it is then the same scheme as for the adult.

And if the child is less than 2 years old, the application scheme is the same as for adults with the application of a single layer and a contact time of 12 hours or even 6 hours for very young children depending on the extent of the scabies lesions and the tolerance of the child under 2 years old.

It is recommended to wrap the hands of the young child in mittens in order to avoid ingestion of Ascabiol and to limit scratching lesions.

Ascabiol should not be used in newborns under one month old (born at term or premature), except in case of absolute necessity. Consult your doctor.

Consult your doctor if you feel no improvement after 8 days in case of scabies.

After this treatment, the itching disappears or diminishes progressively, usually within 2 or 3 days. However, they may persist for a few weeks without being a sign of treatment failure.
