This medicine is indicated for the temporary fatigue of adults (from 15 years of age).
2. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE TAKING VITASCORBOL SUGAR-FREE TAMPON 500 mg, chewable tablet sweetened with sorbitol and aspartam

Contraindications
Never take VITASCORBOL SUGAR-FREE TABLET 500 mg, chewable tablet sweetened with sorbitol and aspartam in the following cases:
- - if you have a history of allergy to any of the components of the tablet, especially to orange yellow S (E110),
- - kidney stones,
- - phenylketonuria (hereditary disease detected at birth), due to the presence of aspartam,
- - if you are on a fructose-free diet, due to the presence of sorbitol.
This medicine MUST NOT BE USED in combination with KAYEXALATE, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

DO NOT LEAVE THIS MEDICINE WITHIN THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
In case of persistent fatigue after 10 days of treatment or if fatigue is accompanied by unusual symptoms TAKE THE ADVICE OF YOUR DOCTOR.
Due to the presence of orange yellow S (E110), this medicine may cause allergic reactions or even asthma, especially in people allergic to aspirin
Use this medicine only with caution (precautions for use)
Because of a slightly stimulating effect, it is advisable not to take vitamin C at the end of the day.
Taking this medicine does not dispense with the main rules of hygiene such as: regular physical activity, balanced diet (in particular avoidance of alcohol, tobacco, and/or stimulants), regular hours of sleep, rest.
In diabetics, vitamin C can modify the results of blood or urine tests.
The physiological needs in vitamins are normally ensured by a varied food intake.

Symptoms and instructions in case of overdose
If you have taken more VITASCORBOL SUGAR-FREE TAMPON 500 mg, chewable tablet sweetened with sorbitol and aspartam than you should have:
At doses higher than 1 g/day of vitamin C, possibility of:
- - digestive disorders (heartburn, diarrhea),
- - urinary disorders (formation of kidney stones).
At doses of more than 2 g/day of vitamin C, ascorbic acid may interfere with the following biological tests: blood and urine creatine and glucose levels (glucose oxidase diabetic tests).
At doses higher than 3 g/day of vitamin C, risk of hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells) in subjects deficient in glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase (specific enzyme of red blood cells).

4. WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?
Description of side effects
Like all medicines, VITASCORBOL SUGAR-FREE TABLET 500 mg, chewable tablet sweetened with sorbitol and aspartam is likely to have undesirable effects, although not everyone is subject to them.
At high doses above 1 g/day, possibility of:
- - digestive disorders (heartburn, diarrhea),
- - urinary disorders (discomfort in the emission of urine or red coloration of urine),
- - haemolysis (destruction of red blood cells) in subjects deficient in glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase (lack of an enzyme in red blood cells),
- - Due to the presence of sorbitol, this medication may cause diarrhea and abdominal pain.
If you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, or if any side effects become serious, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
