Indicated for short-term treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults (18 years and older).

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is the backflow of acid from the stomach into the esophagus, which can become inflamed and painful. This can lead to symptoms such as aburning sensation in the chest extending up to the throat (pyrosis) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).
